Iraq is considering plans for a second new petrochemical plant and is hoping to start talks with potential investors over the coming months, the country's industry minister has said.
Speaking at a conference in Dubai earlier, Fawzi Hariri told that the facility will be located in either central or northern Iraq and will have an annual capacity of around 1 mm tons of ethylene and other derivatives.

The Iraqi government is hoping that such investment opportunities will attract much-needed foreign funds and international expertise into the war-ravaged country.
