Malaysian company to develop Esfandiar oil field
The contract for the development plan of Esfandiar oil field will be inked between the Iranian Offshore Oil Company
(IOOC) and a Malaysian company by the end of current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2009), the managing director of
IOOC said.
Mahmoud Zirakchianzadeh was quoted as saying that, "It is estimated that the first phase of the oil field will
produce 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day."
"We expect this figure to rise up to 20,000 bpd in the second phase," he explained adding that the Malaysian company has presented its technical and financial offer in the form of a finance contract.
