National Iranian Oil Company inaugurates office in Beijing

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) inaugurated its representative office in the Chinese capital of Beijing in a bid to facilitate energy cooperation.
Iran's Ambassador to China Javad Mansouri, directors of a number of Chinese oil companies, and several officials of the NIOC attended the inaugural ceremony.

The NIOC director for international affairs said that China is a suitable market for Iranian crude. Ali Ashgar Arshi added China has several joint ventures with Iran in the energy sector, including the development of Yadavaran oilfield.
China is one of Iran's chief oil customers. Iran supplies 13 % of China's need for crude oil, ranking the third after Saudi Arabia and Angola.
