Iran welcomes foreign investment in oil industry

The first vice president noted that Iran is determined to attract foreign investments to oil industry.
Parviz Davoudi stated that the government has established a special headquarters for assuring investment security in the country and noted that domestic and foreign investors may refer to that headquarters in case of facing any difficulty.

He further noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran will do its best to motivate investors.
“Capital is the main factor for development of any industry and, at present, the most important challenges of oil industry is attracting sufficient investment and implementing projects. Attraction of foreign investments is a good way for implementing oil industry projects of the country,” he said.

Also, head of associations and stocks at the National Petrochemical Company noted that foreign investment in petrochemical industry will boost Iran’s respect in the world and many studies are being carried out in this regard.
Soheil Qoreishi told that Iran will not accept one-way contracts for attracting foreign investments and due attention will be paid to protecting national interests of the country.

The official stated that petrochemical industry is one of the most stable industries for foreign investors due to structure and financial fundaments of the industry.
Qoreishi said that suitable studies have been carried out thus far and every effort will be made to improve the status quo.
