Iran’s Abuzar crude production to reach 180,000 bpd by March
Production from Abuzar Oilfield, southern Iran, will increase to 180,000 bpd by the yearend (Iranian year falling on
March 20, 2007).
The main pipeline, transferring oil from Abuzar to Khark Island, will become operational by the end of this year and
the intended capacity will be maintained at 180,000 bpd, managing director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC)
Mahmud Zirakchian-Zadeh told.
Moreover, two field operations at Abuzar to increase oil production further are forthcoming and imminent, he
added.
The current production from Abuzar field stands at 160,000 bpd.
