Global LNG supply to grow

Exports of LNG are set to grow by 25 % or more in the next few years as a range of new projects come onstream. Tony Hanna, chief executive of Oman LNG, said he estimated global LNG supply now at 90 to 100 million tonnes a year, but projects recently completed, under construction or in planning in Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Brunei, Nigeria, Trinidad, Yemen, Oman and elsewhere would raise this by a quarter or more. LNG is in greatest demand in the Far East, especially South Korea.
