Halliburton unit tries to resume activities in Iran

An informed source told that the American company Halliburton is trying to become involved in the South Pars gas field development project.
Halliburton, with ties to US Vice-President Dick Cheney is operating under the name Oil Oriental Kish Company and is bidding on drilling contracts for phases 9 and 10 of the South Pars gas field. Of course, American companies are prohibited from involvement in Iranian economic activities.

He added that the value of the bid for drilling phases 9 and 10 is $ 300 mm. Other foreign and Iranian companies have set up consortiums to participate in the bidding.
According to the report, the US-owned Oil Oriental Kish Company has been registered in England.
