Pemex awards $ 492 mm in contracts for four rigs

Petroleos Mexicanos, the state-owned oil company, awarded $ 492 mm in contracts to lease four oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico as it seeks to boost slowing output.
The first contract, worth $ 124.8 mm, was awarded to a group made up of Blackstone Gerencia and Rowandrill, Pemex, as the oil company is known, said. Servicios Outsourcing and First Drill won a second contract for $ 109.6 mm.

A third contract to operate two oil rigs for $ 257.6 mm was awarded to Ensco Drilling México, Pemex said.
The contracts will cover maintenance and drilling work at 26 wells off the coast of Tabasco state, the Mexico City-based company said.
