Collaboration with Venezuela in the development of the gas industry is a unique opportunity for our experts, said Roman Samsonov, general director of VNIIGAZ, the main scientific centre of the Russian company Gazprom.
“Collaboration with the South American country is based on our knowledge, our institution's expertise in that field,” he said.

Referring to President Vladimir Putin's statement that only 10 % of Russian exports consist of knowledge, Samsonov said that exchange with Latin America will allow his centre to multiply that parameter by 10.
More than 40 countries have requested our services due to the cutting-edge technologies we use to prospect, extract and producing gas, as well as our veteran engineers and technicians' expertise, he added.

Samsonov noted that the characteristics of Venezuela's fields, its geological composition and the peculiarities of its territory are a professional challenge and an incentive for our experts.
