Pemex will unveil within weeks the "Project Phoenix" -- a $ 2.5 bn plan that aims to raise Mexico's petrochemical industry from the ashes of years of neglect, Raul Munoz, director-general of the state company, said.
Formal invitations would be extended next month to potential investors, Munoz said, in the first of two complexes that will constitute the plan. Industry sources indicated the project continues to change form as Pemex works it out in consultation with potential investors.
