Posco Engineering signs deal in Peru

South Korea's POSCO Engineering & Construction said that it has signed a $ 350 mm deal to remodel a thermal power station in a western region of Peru.
Under the deal with Kallpa Generacion, the Peruvian unit of Israel's Inkia Energy, POSCO Engineering will convert a thermal power station in Chilca, 62 km south of the capital Lima, into a combined cycle power station with an annual generating capacity of 830 MW, the company said.

The South Korean builder plans to complete construction by 2012.
