State-run Vietnam oil & gas group, or PetroVietnam, said it has signed an oil cooperation agreement with Bolivia's state-run energy company YPFB.
The agreement is part of PetroVietnam's efforts to join oil and gas production projects in Bolivia, PetroVietnam said. It said it pays special interest to participation in joint gas production projects in the South American country.

Earlier in the month, PetroVietnam signed an agreement with state oil company Petroleum of Nicaragua, or Petronic, to jointly assess some oilfields in offshore Nicaragua.
Once reserves are discovered, the two companies will negotiate and sign oil production contracts within a year, PetroVietnam said.
