Iran is to negotiate a deal with Mexico for investment in its petrochemical sector, a senior official said.
Mohammad Hassan Peyvandi told Iran was to sell methanol to Mexico under a memorandum signed last year.

Director for planning and development of the National Petrochemical Company said Iran would be a leading methanol producer in the near future.
“We are ready to sell 5 mm tons per annum of methanol to Mexico,” he said. He added that Mexico was examining the purchase of methanol from Iran in the most cost-effective way.
