Repsol and Total now control Bridas

Sept. 1, 1997 A new bid of around $ 1 billion from Repsol and Total for the control of Bridas surpassed the offer from Shell and Amoco, and a deal is to be completed soon. Repsol would take the oil areas in the North of Argentina and Total in the South.
