MacDonald Oil begins Cuban survey
MacDonald Oil Exploration has awarded contracts for seismic, aeromagnetometer, gravity, and soil geochemistry surveys to evaluate part of its onshore Petroleum Exploration Block 22 in south-eastern Cuba. These surveys, scheduled to be conducted and completed during the first quarter of 1997, will acquire data over several exploration leads that are potential future drilling targets. MacDonald Oil is Operator of the exploration program for Block 22, a 9,900 sqkm concession in Camaguey, Las Tunas and Granma provinces of south-east Cuba. It is the largest on-shore hydrocarbon exploration block in Cuba.
