Trinidad and Tobago's PM seeks better LNG deal in Spain
Prime Minister Patrick Manning and Energy Minister Conrad Enill began their talks in Madrid, Spain, earlier with
Antonio Brusfau, the president of Repsol, which is one of the investors in this country's Liquefied Natural Gas
industry.
The talks are meant to result in new natural gas supply arrangements for this nation's four LNG Trains.
Enill said the talks are vital since the Government cannot continue with its future plans for the energy sector
without better gas supply arrangements for the LNG Trains.
Manning and Enill's meeting with Brusfau in Spain is the first of three meetings with the major LNG investors during
their trip.
After their visit to Spain, Manning and Enill, who are being accompanied by a team of technical experts, will travel to London, United Kingdom, to meet with BP Group chief executive officer (CEO) Tony Haywood and British Gas Group chief executive officer Frank Chapman, which both have shares in the LNG Trains.
