Ecuador to drive petroleum production

Ecuadorian Energy Minister Fausto Cordovez said his country is planning to increase crude oil production to 300,000 bpd. He said that Ecuador will adopt up-to-date technology to achieve the target.
"The aspiration of people is to produce at least 300,000 bpd or even 400,000," said the Ecuadorian minister.

He predicted that the oil price will continue to rise.
