Ecuador to auction 3 oil licences in the Amazon

The government of Ecuador plans to auction off to international bidders three oil exploration and exploitation
licences on blocks in the Amazon, Oil Minister Rene Ortiz said.
The Ishpingo, Tiputini and Tambococha blocks contain deposits of 17 degrees API, he added.
The proposed timetable of the sale was not reported.
