Brazilian power regulation body to issue five more licences

The Brazilian power regulation body, Agencia Nacional de Energia (ANEEL), will issue licences for a further five sections of transmission lines, totalling 753 km, in order to increase the capacity of the primary power grids of the south-central and northeast of the country.
The auction will take place on September 28 in Rio. Investment is expected to be around R$ 337 mm for the lines, which will go into operation between June and December 2003.
