CNPC forms refining joint venture in Costa Rica

China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), China's largest oil and gas producer, set up a joint venture (JV) with Costa
Rica counterpart RECOPE in San Jose.
The JV, SORESCO, will upgrade and expand Costa Rica's Moin refinery. It is also planning to build a 10-mm-tpy
refinery in the country.
