Enron to set up 200 MW power plant near Rio

Mr. Anthony Garotinho, Rio de Janeiro's governor, announced that Enron is to set up a thermal power plant in Japeri or Santa Cruz, in the outskirts of Rio, with capacity for 200 MW. The unit is to cost investments between $ 150 mm - $ 200 mm and will use as feedstock imported natural gas from Bolivia.
