Petrobras signs contract with Sulgas for Bolivian gas

The Rio Grande do Sul gas distribution company Sulgas and Petrobras, have signed an agreement for the use of natural gas to be imported from Bolivia. Petrobras is to invest R$100 mm to erect a 200 km pipeline stretch up to Rio Grande state, to supply to industrial and household consumers. The natural gas will reduce the energy demand from the electric company CEEE which accounts for 60% of the energy consumed in the state. Sulgas will invest R$ 60 mm to set up a 450 Km pipeline network.
