Brazil shelves projects in energy generation sector

The projects in the energy generation sector are being shelved by the investors due to lack of resources. At least 22 % of the volume or 1,965 MW predicted by the Brazilian government, will not start up this year.
The sector may face a loss of $ 1.5 bn. Until 2004, the expectation is of $ 4 bn or 5,846 MW less.
