Prime assumes operations of Atlas Copco Rental
Oct. 3, 1998 Prime Service Inc. assumes operations of Atlas Copco Rental Inc., and renames the company Prime Energy
Systems.
Prime Service will now operate Prime Equipment and Prime Energy Systems. Atlas Copco Rental formerly rented Atlas
Copco oil-free air compressors throughout North America. Prime Energy Systems will offer Atlas Copco oil free air
compressors along with power generation equipment, climate control equipment and accessories.
During the past year, the Atlas Copco group evaluated the extensive operating and management systems of Prime
Service, and decided to centralise the technical expertise of Atlas Copco Rental Inc., into the systems of Prime
Service. The uniting of these companies combines strong products, expert personnel and combined experience of over 80
years.
Thomas Bennett, president and CEO of Prime Service, stated, "We are excited about the synergy Prime Equipment and
Prime Energy Systems will bring to the rental market place." And describes the uniting as... "1 plus 1equals 3 with
the combined value-added the benefits we will bring to our customers."
Prime Service Inc. now operates 172 locations for both Prime Equipment and Prime Energy Systems within the United
States, Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico.
