Canadian oil pipeline and LPG transport in Jan. 1998

Apr. 9, 1998 In Canada, the net receipts of crude oil and equivalent hydrocarbons totalled 13,295,904 cubic metres in January, up 5.0 % from January 1997.
Net receipts of LPG and refined petroleum products in January (6,777,413 cm) increased 3.2 % from January 1997.
Pipeline exports of crude oil was 6,455,345 cm up 12.2 % from January 1997, while pipeline imports rose 9.3 % to 1,553,550 cm.
Canadian crude oil has found a ready market in the US, where indigenous production has been declining in recent years.
January deliveries of crude oil by pipeline to Canadian refineries totalled 5,798,816 cm, a 2.0 % decrease from January 1997.
January deliveries of LPG and refined petroleum products were down 4.0 % to 551 883 cm.
