USDC decreases import duty on petroleum pipeline from China
On November 24, US Department of Commerce (USDC) announced to decrease the average import tariff on a petroleum
pipeline from China to 13.2 % from the 21.3 % set in September, a range of 10.36 %-15.78 %. The total value of the
involving petroleum pipeline from China is about $ 2.7 bn.
USDC has submitted it to ITC (International Trade Commission). If ITC approves in January next year, it will be
carried out formally, prior to it, US importers must conform to the decision on November 24.
Since Barack Obama increased tariffs on tyre from China in September, customs duty became the special focus for both
sides. Presently, the bilateral trade volume of both countries has reached $ 409 bn.
Under the impact of this, Zhejiang Jianli Enterprise is imposed largest duty up to 15.78 %. Tariffs on Wuxi Seamless
Pipe, Tianjin Pipe (Group), and Jiangsu Changbao Steel Tube are 14.61 %, 10.36 % and 11.98 % respectively. Duty on
other China's makers is 13.20 %.
