LUKoil buys petrol assets in US and Europe

Russian oil major LUKoil is buying a refinery and retail chains in the United States and in Europe, the company's president Vagit Alekperov informed President Vladimir Putin.

Thus LUKoil is close to acquiring some refining assets of Citgo in the United States and may clinch deals with assets in Greece and Hungary.
LUKoil is apparently eyeing gas assets of MOL there and may count on some share in its Hungarian and Slovakian refineries in exchange for the lucrative contracts for oil delivery.
