Tesoro Alaska names Rodney Cason Vice President, Refining
Tesoro Alaska Petroleum has promoted Rodney Cason, 48, to Vice President, Refining.
"Rod's leadership and technical knowledge have proved to be of tremendous value in directing our refinery and its
talented staff," said Stephen L. Wormington, President of Tesoro Alaska. "He did an outstanding job guiding the
hydrocracker expansion at our Kenai refinery last year, which was finished on time, on budget and with no lost-time
injuries. We will be able to make greater use of his expertise in this new position."
Cason joined Tesoro Alaska in 1976 and served in several staff positions of increasing responsibility at Tesoro's
Kenai Peninsula refinery before being named General Supervisor in 1984. He was named Operations Superintendent in
1986 before becoming Refinery Manager in early 1997.
He holds a bachelor of science degree from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas, and has been active in several
community and energy industry organisations in Alaska.
