Russia and Turkmenistan to build two gas pipelines
Russia and Turkmenistan will jointly implement the projects for construction of the Caspian and Vostok-Zapad
(East-West) gas pipelines, Gazprom deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said.
"There are a number of projects for construction of new gas pipelines both across Turkmenistan and further toward
Europe," he told on Dec. 22.
"These are the Caspian gas pipeline and the East-West gas pipeline. Under our documents due to be signed, these two
projects will be jointly implemented by Russia and Turkmenistan," he said.
Hydrocarbon exploration and production on the Caspian shelf are also a promising area, the Gazprom official said.
