Gazprom and partners to work out gas pipeline feasibility study

Gazprom has reached an agreement with the German companies Ruhrgas and Wintershall, as well as with Fortum of Finland, to work out a feasibility study for the construction of a gas pipeline across the bottom of the Baltic Sea towards Germany.
The cost of the project is estimated at $ 3 bn. Along with the feasibility study, the partners must develop a joint business plan and a financing scheme. The gas pipeline will have a projected handling capacity of 21 bn cm to 35 bn cmpy of gas.
