Russia to supply Cuba with 500,000 tons of oil
Under a Russian-Cuban intergovernmental agreement on financing for the construction of a radar station on Cuba in the
first quarter of 2001, Russia is expected to supply 500,000 tons of oil, said a oil industry source.
To implement the intergovernmental agreement, Surgutneftegaz is expected to be granted an additional 120,000 ton
export quota, while Tyumenneft (TNK) will be awarded a 300,000 ton quota, Permteks a 30,000 ton quota and Ritek a
50,000 ton quota in the first quarter of 2001.
