Transneft announces new ESPO terminus

Kozmino bay near Nakhodka in the Russian Far East has been chosen as the terminus of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline, Semyon Vaynshtok, President of Transneft (the project operator), told.
While working on the first stage of the oil pipeline, Transneft will also begin construction of a branch pipe to China, he added.

Moreover, according to Vaynshtok, a technical and economic feasibility study for the second stage of the ESPO pipeline project will be completed by October 2006.
