Uzbekistan reports on oil and gas production
According to the information given by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan 2.928 mm tons of oil were produced
by oil refineries in January-May 2004 that by 1.2 % lower than in the accounting period of 2003.
The primary oil distillation increased by 2 % and made 2.366 mm tons of oil. The production of gasoline reduced by
9.2 % up to 541,900 tons, kerosene by 8.2 % up to 145,100 tons, stove fuel by 6.3 % up to 577,900 tons. The
production of diesel motor increased by 11.3 % up to 663,000 tons.
Natural gas production increased by 6 % up to 25.362 bn cm for the first five months in Uzbekistan. Gas extraction increased by 5.3 % up to 17.756 bn cm, liquefied gas production by 28.6 % up to 79,200 tons at the factories of Uzbekneftegaz NCC. Uzbekneftegaz NCC provides the production of natural gas in volume of 57-58 bn cm and liquid hydrocarbons -- 8 mm tpy. The production of oil and gas condensate reduced by 0.9 % up to 7.134 mm tons. Gas production reduced by 0.3 % up to 57.481 bn cm in 2003.
