Russia reports on oil and gas production
Oil and gas production in Russia in January-July this year increased 11 % and 3 % year-on-year to hit 238.524 mm tons
and 357.857 bn cm, respectively, the Russian Energy Ministry said.
The three largest oil producers in the first seven months of 2003 were Yukos with 45.752 mm tons, LUKoil producing
45.045 mm tons and Surgutneftegaz with 30.37 mm tons, the ministry said.
Russia exported 86.138 mm tons of oil to countries outside the Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) in January-July
this year, up 9 % as against the same period last year. Oil exports to the CIS members in the period amounted to
21.99 mm tons, compared with 20.59 mm tons in the corresponding period last year.
Russia's main gas producers in the first seven months were Surgutneftegaz with 8 bn cm, Rosneft with 3.73 bn cm and
LUKoil with 2.67 bn cm.
