Gazprom sees 97 gas output rise to 580 bncm

Russian Gazprom has forecast its 1997 gas output would be 580 bncm compared with 564 bncm in 1996. Gazprom said 1996 output was 4.5 bncm higher than in 1995. It said it exported 112.4 bncm to destinations outside the CIS in the first 11 months of 1996, against a target for the year of 123.6 bncm. Gazprom exported 117.4 bncm in 1995. Gazprom also forecast it would produce 9 mmt of oil and gas condensate in 1997, compared with 8.6 mmt in 1996, which was unchanged on 1995. Gazprom produces 94 % of Russia's natural gas.
