Ukraine to participate in Libyan tender

In the course of his visit to Libya, Naftogaz Ukrayiny CEO Alexey Ivchenko had several meetings with the country's top officials, such as leader Muammar Gaddafi, Prime Minister Shukri Ghanim and senior deputy Prime Minister Al-Baghdadi al Ali Mahmudi.

Ivchenko reported that Naftogaz Ukrayiny would take part in a new tender on developing 44 oil and gas blocks, scheduled for May 1, 2005.
Libya expressed its interest in Ivchenko's proposal to construct gas and oil pipelines and underground gas storage facilities.
