Belarus plans to produce oil in Venezuela together with China

Belarus is planning to organize oil production in Venezuela in cooperation with China. The trilateral cooperation was discussed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation in Caracas.
"We've agreed with Venezuela and China to work on a major oil-bearing region -- to extract hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil per day," said special envoy to the President of Belarus Viktor Sheiman after the talks.

According to Viktor Sheiman, oil production will be significantly increased with the development of new oil-bearing region, ONT.
The Belarusian-Venezuelan oil production company Petrolera BeloVenesolana was joined by two new oil fields around Lake Maracaibo. Thus, the total number of fields has grown up to nine.

During the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Venezuela, the parties signed several documents designed to expand bilateral cooperation, including in the sphere of oil production.
In particular, the Belarusian and Venezuelan parties agreed to cooperate in the organization of a joint venture for drilling and workover.
