Russia reports on rise of oil output in January-August
Russia extracted 212.273 mm tons of oil in the first eight months of 2000, up 5.1 % from the corresponding figure for last year, according to a source in the central control department of the fuel and power sector. According to operations data, crude supplies to Russian refineries reached 121.4 mm tons, up 9.7 %. Russian oil exports totalled 93.093 mm tons, up 10.5 %. Oil transit across Russia beyond the CIS was estimated at 8.573 mm tons, up 21.8 %.
