Turkmenistan and Russia finalized the raised gas supply issues. The problems emerged on April 9 after an accident at Turkmen sector of Central Asia-Centre gas pipeline system (CAC-4) when gas transmission from Turkmenistan to Russia was suspended. Normally, Turkmenistan provided Gazprom with 50 bn cm of gas annually.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov informed RF President Dmitry Medvedev of gas supplies resumption and that Ashgabat took time-out for flaw inspection. He pointed out that pricing of Turkmen gas supplies "will be set according to the formula."

Gazprom considers Turkmen gas too expensive jeopardizing current supplies and that the contract needs to be updated.
Russian NGK Itera and Turkmen State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources signed Sept. 13 production-sharing contract on a section of rich of gas and oil Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
