LUKoil signs cooperation deal with Sibur
LUKoil President Vagit Alekperov and Sibur's head Yakov Goldovsky signed a cooperation deal on September 29, whereby
the parties pledge to stop settling their disputes in court. The partners will co-ordinate their annual programs for
casing-head gas output to better utilise the refining facilities in Langepas, Nyagan and Surgut.
In addition, LUKoil and Sibur will team up to receive casing-head gas from deposits being tapped by LUKoil in Western
Siberia and consider building facilities to gather and transport gas to Sibur-Tyumen for processing. Sibur is
prepared to provide LUKoil with 200,000 tpy of liquefied gas and supply it with natural and dry gas on the required
scale. In turn, LUKoil pledges to provide gas works in western Siberia with casing head gas.
The deal also requires the sides to work out a settlement system for the mutual debts of the gas works and
LUKoil-Western Siberia. Furthermore, Sibur will arrange the transfer of the Perm gas works' stake in
Permneftegazpererabotka to LUKoil. The latter, in turn, will see to it that Sibur takes over Neftekhim's share in
Sibur-Neftekhim.
