Mitsubishi to build 740 MW gas fired plant in North Jakarta
Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation and Indonesian state-owned construction firm Wijaya Karya (WIKA) will immediately
build a gas fired power plant with a total capacity of 740 MW in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
WIKA said that Mitsubishi will be the main contractors of the project, while WIKA was appointed by Mitsubishi to
carry out civil construction jobs with a total value of Rp 387 bn ($ 36.4 mm).
The project will be funded by JICA. It is expected to be completed in 32.5 months.
The gas for the power plant will be supplied by South Sumatra's gas pipeline.
