Changqing Oilfield adds 2.7 mm tons of oil and gas equivalent

The PetroChina Changqing Oilfield Company in Shaanxi Province has set a historic record in the oil and gas output increase this year.
By November 12, its output of crude oil and natural gas was 917, 000 tons and 225,100 tons more than in the same period of 2003 respectively. The oil and gas equivalent increased more than 2.7 mm tons in the period.

The Changqing Oilfield thus contributed to 38 % of PetroChina's total oil output increase and 72.7 % of the company's total gas output increase.
If the growth trend continues, the Changqing Oilfield is expected to produce 8 mm tons of crude oil and 7 bn cm of natural gas this year.
