New gas project planned for Papua New Guinea
A second Liquefied Natural Gas project is being planned for Papua New Guinea.
PNG's national petroleum and mining company Petromin, Canada's Interoil Corporation and China's National Offshore Oil
Corporation have signed an agreement to finance the project.
Petromin's CEO Joshua Kalino says it is hoped the commercial terms for financing the project will be worked out as
soon as possible.
He says benefits from the project will flow throughout the country's economy.
