Sinopec makes breakthrough in technology of difficult-to-produce reserves

Research on key technology of effective exploration of the difficult-to-produce reserves in Chuanxi Gas Field, approved by experts of Sinopec with highly appreciation, was adopted in the exploration of 19.25 bn-cm difficult-to-produce reserves in Xinchang, Majing and Xindu gas fields, with cumulative increment in natural gas output of 585 mm cm.
After the application of the key technology of highly effective exploration of difficult-to-produce reserves, the rate of industrial gas wells raised from 43.6 % to 80 %, the output of single well with postfrac test increased from 17,500 cm to 52,700 cm. At the same time, newly found proven reserves in the inefficient zone outside the main gas layers and its expanded boundary reached 31.215 bn cm.
