Russia is ready to up its railroad oil deliveries to China to 10 mm tons or even more, Russia’s industry and energy minister, Viktor Khristenko, was quoted as saying. Khristenko is currently in Beijing, taking part in bilateral energy talks with his Chinese colleagues.
"China is receiving more and more oil," said the Russian minister. "The dynamics of deliveries is not stable, but has a clearly pronounced tendency of growth. Just recently we were speaking about deliveries of 3 mm tpy of oil, but today we are already speaking of volumes exceeding 6 mm tons."

Khristenko also noted that increasing this number to 10 mm tpy is an "absolutely real task".
Speaking about the construction of an oil pipeline from Siberian Taishet to the Pacific Ocean port of Nakhodka, the Russian energy minister said that the oil pipeline may cost up to $ 15 bn. Khristenko also pointed out that Russia doesn’t exclude the possibility of building a branch pipeline into Chinese territory.
