Sinopec starts commercial production at Qingdao refinery

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, Asia's largest oil refiner, started commercial production at its Yuan 12.5 bn ($
1.8 bn) refinery in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao.
Sinopec, as Beijing-based China Petroleum is known, wants the 10-mm-tpy plant to help improve the firm's
competitiveness and ensure market supplies.
