Report on verified energy reserves in Tarim Basin

By the end of last year, the verified natural energy reserves of Xinjiang's Tarim Basin reached 526.7 bn cm. Tarim has detected natural gas reserves of 840 mm cm, a quarter of the country's underground natural gas resources.
To date, the Tarim Oil Company has discovered 12 gas fields. According to reports, Tarim will definitely become the main natural gas base for the West-East Natural Gas Pipeline Project.

Studies conducted by the Ministry of Land and Resources has found that the No. 2 Tarim Oil Field has about 251 bn cm of natural gas, covering 47 sq km, with a projected annual output at 10 bn cm, making it one of the largest oil fields in the world.
