Venezuela to develop 20 new projects with Cuba

During a Cabinet session, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez highlighted the relevance of the projects endorsed with Cuba to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two nations, under the premise of sovereign and socialist development. President Chavez expressed that there will be a total 20 new projects, adding up to 50 accords since the year 2000, which will be carried out with Cuba on the context of the relaunch of social economic relations between the two countries.
Among the accords, the President mentioned the building of a pharmaceutical industrial complex in Venezuela, a joint venture to rescue and install fuel tanks and to oil drilling maintenance and boring.

Similarly, he remarked the installation of a company for agro-industrial production, another for biofertilizers production and three plants for hydrated lime. Venezuelan Minister of Energy and Oil, Rafael Ramirez, explained that hydrated lime is used to prepare the soil for the sowing.
