Kazatomprom to construct solar panel plant in Kazakhstan

Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan’s national uranium miner, plans to spend KZT 34 bn ($ 233 mm) to build a solar-batteries plant in Astana.
The construction of the plant is set to begin in March and is expected be completed within two years, Kazatomprom’s CEO Vladimir Shkolnik said during a meeting in the Senate.

Kazatomprom will partner with a group of French companies to build the plant, Shkolnik said.
