Iran’s non-oil exports hit $ 24 bn in 7 months
While Iran has plans to raise its non-oil exports to $ 45 bn this year (started March 20), the value of non-oil exports stood at $ 24 bn during the first seven months of the Iranian calendar year, said head of Iran’s Customs Administration.
Abbas Me’marnejad referred to a 4.5 % decline in imports during the first seven months and added that following the implementation of the subsidies reform plan, import of cereals and oil products have lowered.
Plans are underway to make the optimal use of Iran’s customs capacities, he noted.
Me’marnejad also said that applying modern managerial systems and modern technologies, employing specialized manpower and updating regulations and laws are among the features of modern customs.
